Support
Answers to common questions, and how to reach us.
Email us
We usually reply within a few working days. The easiest way to tell us about a problem is Moonkeep's support report: in the app, open Settings, then Help, then Support report, and tap Email. It has your app and iOS version and recent error codes, never your cycle data, and you see all of it before it's sent. Please don't send health details we don't need.
Common questions
Can you see my data?
No. Everything you log stays encrypted on your devices. There is no account and no server holding your data, so we have nothing to look at, share or lose. See the privacy policy.
How do I back up my data?
In Moonkeep, open Settings, then Encrypted backup. Choose a passphrase of at least 10 characters, tap Create encrypted backup, and save the file somewhere safe, such as the Files app. Keep the passphrase in your password manager: without it the backup can't be opened, by you or by us.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
Moonkeep isn't included in iCloud or computer backups, so it won't move across by itself. On your old iPhone make an encrypted backup (see above) and save it to iCloud Drive or AirDrop it to the new phone. On the new iPhone install Moonkeep, open Settings, then Encrypted backup, then Restore from a backup, and enter your passphrase.
I lost my iPhone. Can you recover my data?
Only if you have a backup file and its passphrase. We never have a copy of your data, which is what keeps it private, but it also means we can't restore it for you. If your Apple Health sync was on, your cycle history is also in the Health app.
How do I connect or disconnect Apple Health?
Turn on Sync with Apple Health in Moonkeep's Settings (or on the last welcome screen) and choose what to allow. To change what it can read or write later, open the Settings app, then Health, then Data Access & Devices, then Moonkeep.
How accurate are the predictions?
Predictions are estimates based on your own history, shown as a range with a confidence level. They get better with every cycle you log. Tap a prediction and choose "Why this date?" to see how it was worked out. Moonkeep is not a medical device and must not be used for contraception.
I bought Plus. How do I get it on another device?
Open Moonkeep on the other device, go to Settings, then Unlock Moonkeep Plus, then Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. Plus is a one-time purchase and also works for your Family Sharing group.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.
How do I delete everything?
In Moonkeep, open Settings, then Delete all data, and confirm. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device. Anything you wrote to Apple Health stays in the Health app until you delete it there.
Health concerns
Moonkeep can't give medical advice. If you're worried about your cycle, your symptoms or your health, please talk to a doctor, midwife or pharmacist. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. In Malta and across the EU, that's 112.
